Reading dogs at Iowa City library

January 14, 2010

The Iowa City Public Library and the Iowa City R.E.A.D. program are sponsoring a series of sessions with reading assistance dogs to work with elementary school students this winter.

Titled "Winter R.E.A.D. at the Library!," the event pairs children with pet partners they will read books aloud to in the library's Storytime Room.

The series runs from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays through Feb. 28. For more information, call 356-5200.
